Time to say goodbye

In this very moment the two last survivors are in class, finishing their exam. It is great for a teacher to have such students, because they have asked for an exam at the end of the course. For me it has been a very positive experience to work with you in class along this year. All of you, with your own and personal circumstances, have given something to the group, and it could be felt in class. I hope you have learned, improved and even enjoyed when coming to class. Our last class should be next Wednesday, but due to "international affairs" (can you guess??) we have decided to move it, so the class will be tomorrow instead. Don´t forget your English now that you have reached this level, try to keep it alive as long as you can. We will be here to help you if you want. By the way, this is also the last post in the blog. Of course you will be able to read it again, but I bet you will not be able to write again... Have a really happy summer!!

Yesterday in class Roberto and his little machine told us about the match, and we thought about you. For me it was a little bit difficult to understand why the match was being played in Bucarest. Europe in ours!!!!

Hi guys. I'm really excited... Yesterday it was a great day and the last night was really long. I went to "Neptuno" with all my friends to celebrate that we are the champions of the Europa Leage. It was really funny and also a little bit dangeorus. At the end everything went fine and we returned safely to home. Tonight I have not slept at all and now I'm in the college so I'm a little bit afraid to fall slepp in class.

First part

Last Monday we watched the film Net and I try to explain first part.
The main actresss is Sandra Bullock and she call in the film Angela. She infiltrates in a building look like a huge office. She is searching a computer empty and she found it. Suddenly the telephone rung and she answered the phone. She talked with ''False Angela'' and she discover that Angela is infiltrated in the office then, Angela turn on the fire alarm in the building, and employees have to leave the building. Angela discovered in computer information about her false, and she tried delete it. On the other hand, False Angela is so nervious, she knows what happen in the building, she talked whit firefighter and says '' The building hasn't fire ,there's no smoke ''..
And suddenly loudspeaker rang , They could come back to building. And Angela need to escape.
The second part writes Alberto.

Consequence of a cold

As Alberto has just informed you, last Monday we watched in class a scene from "The Net". I know we have done something similar not long ago (do you remember Meryl and Robert talking about marriage?), but I am suffering a terrible cold and yesterday I wasn´t in my best conditions to talk for a long time. So I thought this could be a good way of making the most of the class and taking care of my health at the same time.
At the end of the class we had been working with the first part of the scene. Roberto will write a post about it in a few hours (I hope!!), and Alberto has explained in his post about the second part, the one we are going to work with tomorrow.
I´m feeling a little better today, but my red nose is a embarrassing evidence about the wonderful day off I have had.

The Net

Hi guys,
Last monday in class we watched a part of the film "The Net" and Gregorio told to Roberto and me that we have to explain here what we saw. I have to explain the second part of the scene, so I`m going to try to do my best.
Angela is trying to discover who is the man that wants to kill her, so she is looking for the information in the "False Angela"´s computer. When the "False Angela" returns to her computer and sees that Angela has the information calls  to Delvin (another bad guy) and tells him what happened while Angela is trying to escape from the office. She is dressed like a firefighter and escapes from the office, but when she is in the street Delvin saw her, so she has to escape crossing a demonstration and entering a building.
I don't know if you have everything clear, but tomorrow we are going to watch this part of the film in class so you will be able to understand all the story.

Very busy weekend

This weekend has been a little bit exhausting for me. So no interesting films (do you know about "Chuggington"? It´s the only thing I have watched, and I bet you don´t about it, why should you?), but at least I´ve been able to finish the novel I was reading, "Amsterdam", by Ian McEwan, quite interesting (by the way, at the end of the story both main characters die, in case you are interested in it). And concerning football, though I don´t like it very much (at all, to be honest)... I´m glad Real Madrid has won, so Roberto has written again in our blog! Tomorrow in class we should advance a little bit with our book, don´t you think so? However, we may find a place for music... on Monday or on Wednesday, who knows! See you!! Gregorio

We're the champiooooons

Hello! I'm so excited yesterday it was a great day. Real Madrid won Barcelona, and is the future champion of ''La liga''. In the second goal I shouted with all of my heart goooool, amazing. Yesterday in class we watched a scene of the film "Out of Africa", so I think that I could write something about the latest film I have watched (all in English with Spanish subtitles). Last weekend, while I was resting after my graduation party, I watched "One for the money". I don`t know the traslation  but it´s a film about a girl that lost her job and find another like bounty hunter. It´s funny but it isn`t a great movie I think. However two weeks ago I watched a film called "Young adult" starred by Charlize Theron and I love it. It's really funny, although it isn't a comedy. Gregorio you could learn something about cinema for our next movie in class... (only joking).

It´s not "Mogambo"

It´s quite a long time since we don´t watch together in class any scene of a film. So it´s high time to do so. When deciding which film could be appropriate  I don´t know why this title has come to my mind. A hint: it´s related to Africa, its title is neither "The KING of the Apes" nor "Mogambo", and it´s starred by one of the best actresses in the world, the one who got another Oscar two months ago. Can you guess?

Tomorrow is almost here... + new correction system

Hi everybody,

After having watched a great film (anything with Michelle Pfeiffer deserves that adjective, by the way), I have planned our class for tomorrow. I hope Alberto has rested after his very busy week because... there could be a test about irregular verbs!!!

By the way, I have thought (yes, I sometimes do that) it will be better if I write a comment for those post that should be corrected. So, I have left some comments for Roberto and Alberto. I hope you may understand them. If not, do ask me in class.

First the answer to Alberto, everybody knew that Barcelona would win  the Milan.
Barcelona is the favorite team to win the Champions League but Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayer Munich can win Barcelona , although Real Madrid is the best for this job , I think. It's difficult but could be possible.
And for teacher Gregorio in this sentence ''and that Roberto shouts when he goes to the stadium to support his beloved Atleti...'' is wrong is Alberto . I never support Atleti althought if were Atleti-Barça, I would support Atleti of course.

Thanks for writing and telling us something, Laura!! I have changed your COMENTARIO and I have created a NUEVA ENTRADA with it, so more people can read and find it. I don´t know if people will look the comments, so when you want to write something, why don´t you do it as a new entry? I think it will be clerarer for everybody.

Concerning "Mentes criminales" I used to watch this when I had to do the ironing, but I am such a sensitive person that I can´t stand it when the plot is about dead children... But I prefer it better than CSI, for example.

Yesterday in class

Here you have some comments about what we did yesterday in class:

- we explained some points related to Alberto´s post in this blog
- Roberto reviewed the question tags before working on an exercise about this point
- we worked with our Student Book, page 42, with a dialogue about money and currency change
- we all know Roberto is very interested in football (Real Madrid, of course), but yesterday I was astonished when I found out that Maria is keen on football too and that Alberto shouts when he goes to the stadium to support his beloved Atleti...

By the way, you should know this group of students is quite deep and spiritual, because for us money is less important than we say!!

If you want to prepare something for tomorrow, we are going to correct exercises 1a and 3a in page 41 (Student Book) and we are going to work with exercise 6 in pages 42 and 43 in the same book; besides, we will try to work with our Activity Book, exercises 6 and 7 in page 31.

I hope to read something from you before tomorrow!!!

Here I'm!!!

Hi guys:
In this rainy day I'm going to write my first entry in the blog. I'm not sure what I want to write about, so I'm going to start with the match between Barça and Milan that  was played the last night. I'm sorry for Roberto, because the Barça won the match and  if the Real Madrid played the final against them, they would lose it.
But the most important macht of the week is going to be the Atleti against Hannover tomorrow night, you must wacht it!
